Your brewing guide

Make a good cup.

Start with the water measure and brewing time below. Then adjust to your taste.

01

Measure

One tea bag for 120 ml water. Instant sachets use 150 ml.

02

Heat

Use freshly boiled water. Pour directly over the tea bag.

03

Time

Green tea: 2–3 min. Black tea: 3–4 min. Botanicals: 4–6 min.

04

Serve

Taste before adding milk or sugar.

Clear golden Kehwah with saffron and spice

From Ma Sensory note

“A cup of Kehwah is a treat for the eyes.”

I want the aroma to reach you before the cup does. When you enter the room, you should know that Kehwah is being made. I notice the colour first, then the fragrance, and only then the taste.

Tasting method

I change one thing at a time.

Small changes show me what the blend is doing. I start with the pack method, taste, then adjust only water or time.

01

If it feels too strong

Add 15–20 ml hot water to the finished cup. Next time, shorten the steep by 30 seconds.

02

If it feels too light

Keep the water measure fixed and add 30 seconds. Do not add a second bag before testing time.

03

If it feels bitter

Remove the bag earlier. For green-tea blends, let freshly boiled water rest briefly before pouring.

Two saffron cups to keep distinct

Kashmiri or Kesar?

Both use the saffron, cardamom, cinnamon, and almond family, but the base changes the experience.
